Doma Dance Theater approaches every work through the lens of collaboration.

Relying on trust, vulnerability, and communication among the artists, Doma works to disrupt the hierarchical practices of the Western dance world, both in and out of the rehearsal room.

In choosing the word Doma, “at home” in the Rusyn language, we commit to the impact of our work :

creating a space where artists and audiences can feel at home in full cultural and gender expression.

We have a studio in the Hennepin Center for the Arts in downtown Minneapolis.

This studio, an office space we built a dance floor in, is the perfect size to conduct research, host regular community events, and make work in.
